Steam users trashed The Callisto Protocol due to optimization problems

©

Today, December 2, The Callisto Protocol was released. The game from the author of Dead Space Glenn Scofield became available a few hours earlier than planned and crowds of gamers rushed to download the long-awaited horror. The project turned out to be really creepy, but not in the way that the players expected – the PC version suffers due to big performance problems.

The horror game is currently rated red on Steam based on “mostly negative reviews”. Almost everyone complains about the terrible optimization and demand to remove Denuvo from the game.

It remains to be hoped that the developers are already working on patches to correct the situation. Journalists presented their reviews today on the game and impressions, in general, positive, but without enthusiasm – basically they scolded the monotonous combat system and the sagging plot.

The Callisto Protocol is a third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future that lets players take control of Jacob Lee, a prisoner who has been sent to the Black Iron maximum security prison on Jupiter’s moon Callisto.

The Callisto Protocol is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series XlS.
