Ryan Reynolds’ birthday wouldn’t be complete without a touching message from his best friend Hugh Jackman. Celebrating his co-star’s birthday in the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie, Jackman took to social media on Sunday to wish his friend a happy birthday in the best possible way.
Singing along to Reynolds in front of paintings of the Green Lantern alum, Jackman ends the video with one of his hero’s most iconic quotes:
I am the best in my business. But it’s not the best thing.
Jackman then tries to blow out the candle on the cupcake, but it doesn’t go out immediately.
Apart from the fact that Reynolds and Jackman are involved in the project, not much is known about the triquel. Earlier this year, Rhett Reese confirmed that the film would have the same R rating as the first two films.
Deadpool 3 will be released on September 6, 2024.
