If you thought sledding down the mountains was fun in Sons of the Forest, then you’ll be pleased to hear about some of the new content that’s coming in Patch 01. much faster, but also much more fun.
In addition, there are many more interesting things. The addition of binoculars should make exploring easier, and the ability to build defensive gates on your defensive walls is a welcome feature. Other structures like fish traps actually work properly now, and small objects like furniture are now easier to manipulate.
This is indeed quite a significant update, containing all sorts of balancing changes to the survival mechanics and weapons, which should make the game more fun and dynamic. This is the first step towards a full game that has so much potential – especially in the case of its plot and story, which have not been expanded in this update, but there is a new boss to try your hand at.
