Although the fourth part of the adventures of John Wick has not yet been released, there is already talk of a possible sequel, in which Chad Stahelski will again be behind the camera. While he hasn’t confirmed his involvement in a possible sequel starring Keanu Reeves, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility either.
As part of the promotion for John Wick 4, Stahelski gave an interview in which he talked about the future of the series. The director admitted that he is not yet sure of his commitment to the fifth film, which will almost certainly be made.
I always say: “This is my last film, this will not happen again.” And I’ll say it now: “This is my last one.”
Interestingly, if Stahelski takes on the next project in the series, it may not be too soon. The reason is that the director would like to take a break after John Wick, which he would use to develop his directing skills.
In this film, I tried to be better as a kind of storyteller, but I would be the same guy if I immediately took on the next one. I need to get better. Keanu is constantly working and getting better – playing, taking on new projects. I need to sit down for a while and ask myself: “How can I become a better director?”. I don’t have those options. I can’t just direct, direct, direct. I wouldn’t have time to develop.[IjustthinkthatifI’mgoingtobetruetothefranchiseIshouldgetalotbetterbeforetryingtofindanotherstoryBecauseotherwiseifyoudon’tgetbetterifyoudon’tdosomethingdifferentifyoudon’ttrytodevelopandgetbetterartisticallythenyou’reonlydoingitforthemoneywhichsucks[ЯпростодумаючтоеслиясобираюсьбытьвернымфраншизеядолженстатьнамноголучшепреждечемпытатьсянайтидругуюисториюПотомучтоиначееслитынестанешьлучшееслитынебудешьделатьчто-тодругоееслитынебудешьпытатьсяразвиватьсяистановитьсялучшевхудожественномпланетотыбудешьделатьэтотолькорадиденегаэтоотстой
John Wick 4 hits theaters on March 24th. Judging by the reaction of the journalists who attended the pre-release screenings of the film, it looks like we will be dealing with the best part of the series.
