The sensational domestic shooter Atomic Heart could have received a completely different introductory video, stylized as a documentary filming of an alternative USSR. This intro was cut from the final version of the project, but still leaked to the network and now everyone can see it.
The video starts with a familiar scene with Professor Sechenov and the twins, but then the camera cuts to a screen on a table showing pseudo-documentary footage showing life in an alternate version of the Soviet Union, to the famous song “Yas mowing the stables.”
The USSR is massively building robots from a parallel reality, inventing polymers, increasing its influence in the world and preparing to conquer space. The video is designed in the style of Soviet propaganda, but also shows some dark sides of the country’s life.
