Variety has reported potential financial losses for Warner Bros. Studios. The reason was the disastrous box office results of the comic book film Black Adam with Dwayne Johnson.
The film had a production budget of $100 million, while marketing cost between $80-100 million. To break even, the film needed to earn at least $600 million. After seven weeks of release, “Adam” was only able to bring in $384 million at the box office.
Some sources claim that the film will go to zero, earning 400 million, but even with a digital release and an estimated box office of 30-35 million, “Adam” will be considered unprofitable. The exact release date of the picture on the HBO Max streaming service has not been reported.
