Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams recently reviewed all seasons of the series and decided to support the opinion of millions of viewers, saying that the popular HBO show just fell apart in the end. Williams, who played Arya Stark for all eight seasons, hosted a Twitch-themed stream with her brother, during which she noted the drop in quality of the show’s latest episodes.
“You know, I recently reviewed all this. The quality definitely dropped towards the end,” Williams lamented. “But the beginning was very strong. I was heartbroken when Ned died and I knew it would happen. For the first time, I really felt the story.”
For many, Williams’ words won’t come as a surprise. The final eighth season of Game of Thrones turned out to be a real disappointment for many fans. It’s all the fault of the squeezed timing, the crumpled finale and a number of controversial decisions on the part of the characters.
